AP Wirephoto datelined New York, April 9, 1954. Missing Comet Airlines-This British Comet Jetliner, shown here after an emergency landing near Bombay, India, last July, was identified as the B.O.A.C. Comet which disappeared last night on a flight to Cairo from Rome. The missing jetliner, operated by South African Airways for British Overseas Airways Corp., carried 14 passengers and a crew of seven South Africans. (AP wirephoto by radio from London.
