ISAS ceased on 31 December 1931. Delhi Flying Club (DFC) took over this service for next 1 1/2 years and was instrumental in providing airmail connection for mail from Madras to Karachi onwards to Delhi. Cover flown by DFC on the first flight on 29 December 1931.

As Indian State Air Service ceased to exist on 31 December 1931, this section of Imperial Airways route from London to Delhi via Johdpur was first flown by the Delhi Flying Club. Two Aeroplanes left Karachi on 2 January 1932 piloted by Mr. P.D. Sharma and Captain A.J. Riley (A pilot instructor). JODHPUR AERODROME postmark.

The return flight was also made by Mr. P.D. Sharma. Sadly he and his brother piloting two aeroplanes were both killed when their machines collied near Karachi in 1939. The Club continue provide this service untill 4 July 1934, when India Trans-Continental Airways introduced its Karachi-Calcutta service. 2 of the 13 covers carried from Delhi to Hyderabad. Both signed by the Pilot.
