1933 First Regular (weekly) England - Burma service by Imperial Airways
Imperial Airways in conjunction with Indian Trans-Continental Airways (in whom Imperial Airways held a 51% Share) extended their service from Karachi to Calcutta in July 1932. On the flight leaving London on 23 Sep 1933 this was Further extended to Rangoon.

23 Sep 1933 Limassol, Cyprus, to Akyab (receipt 1 Oct.), endorsed "via Tiblist"

13 Sep 1933 Two covers from Southern Africa to Rangoon from "CW" at the House of Assembly, Cape Town, to L Wyndham at Rangoon. Both covers will have picked up the 23 Sep flight from London at Cairo. The Broken Hill cover has Cairo 30 Sep transit and Rangoon 1 October receipt.
