Postmarked Tavoy Reg 18 Apr 31, and ads on verso Darwin 11 My 31. Also on the verso is the registration label Tavoy R 50, and two square DLO stamps of Madras, and two circular but indistinguishable circular postal marks, one Intally Calcutta.

On the flight to Australia the plane was forced down because of a fuel leak. The pilot R. Mollard and H. Alger were unhurt but the plane was wrecked. Captain Kingsford-Smith, coming from Australia. arrived there on the 25th and took the mail to Port Darwin in the "Southern Cross". Mail was postmarked there April 25 and then forwarded by Quantas Airways to Melbourne and Sydney, arrival there April 29.
