43-70: Catalina Vega Star and Altair Star
On November 3, 1943, QANTAS extended its Perth-Colombo service to Karachi. The Perth-Colombo leg was flown by Catalina Vega Star G-AGFL (Captain J. L. Grey and F/O L. H. Ross) in 28 hours 13 minutes. The Colombo-Karachi leg was completed by Catalina Altair Star G-AGFM (Captain W. H. Crowther and J. W. Solly) in 13 hours 56 minutes. The return flight, also aboard Altair Star with the same crew, departed Karachi on November 7, 1943.
